Staff Benefits

Family-Friendly Policies


The Trust offers flexible working to encourage staff to have a better work-life balance, including part-time hours, term-time-only working and job shares, and we offer generous policies and entitlements in respect of Maternity, Paternity and Adoption.

 

Events


Eko Trust runs a series of cross-trust events for our family of schools to help staff build dynamic relationships, share expertise, build great teams, and learn and have fun together. Past events include an escape room adventure, Newham Monopoly (a treasure hunt in one of our boroughs), and forming a choir for the day.

Wellbeing Programme


Staff wellbeing is instrumental to our success, and that’s why we provide non-contractual benefits such as the Schools Advisory Service (SAS). They offer wellbeing and medical support, including annual nurse visits to the school, fast-tracked GP appointments, access to physiotherapy to help staff get well soon. They also provide independent counselling to our staff.  


Our Wellbeing Policy focuses on changes to workplace practices and culture to support the well-being of our staff and to make our Trust an excellent place to work.  


Our Occupational health service is a confidential service for all our staff, offering advice on personal health, safety and welfare at work. Our regular staff survey helps school leaders to understand their teams, their motivations and how to ensure that all employees feel valued.

Financial Benefits

 

We at least match or exceed national pay and conditions with the education sector and meet or exceed national standards in our sick pay, maternity & paternity pay. All staff are auto-enrolled into either the defined benefit Local Government Pension Scheme or the Teachers' Pension Scheme. These schemes include a generous employer contribution. If this isn’t right for you right now, you can opt out of the scheme at any time.
